Welcome!
Hi, this is Sanne! If this is your first time visiting my page, check out my home page to learn more about my approach and background.
About this service
Life can be challenging, and it’s normal to feel overwhelmed at times. Psychological counselling offers a structured and supportive space to talk things through, gain insight, and find practical ways forward based on your goals and values.
My approach is collaborative, structured and warm. I draw from different therapeutic models; including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and systemic work, depending on what suits you best. That might mean learning new tools to manage anxiety, making space for difficult emotions, improving relationships, or strengthening your sense of self.
I believe that therapy isn’t about “fixing” you, but about helping you understand yourself more deeply and live in alignment with your values.
Who can benefit
You might benefit from counselling if you’re feeling stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or low, or if you’re navigating a life transition or relationship difficulties. It’s also a space for people who want to better understand their identity, patterns, or emotional world, including those who are neurodivergent or highly sensitive.
Sessions are available for teenagers (16+) and adults. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after a break, you’re welcome here.
How it works
We begin with an intake session to get to know each other and explore who you are, what you’re struggling with and what your goals are for therapy. Sessions are held online or in person, typically once a week or every two weeks, depending on your needs and preferences.
Therapy can be short-term and goal-focused or more open-ended, depending on what you’re looking for. Along the way, I’ll check in with you regularly to make sure the sessions are helpful and aligned with your priorities.
Depending on what brings you to therapy, we may work with thoughts, emotions, behaviour patterns, bodily signals, or relational dynamics. I aim to create a space that feels safe, open, and non-judgmental, where you can show up as your full self.
What to expect
Therapy is rarely linear, but over time, many people notice shifts: more clarity, resilience, connection, and self-acceptance. You might learn practical tools to manage anxiety or low mood, gain new perspectives on relationships, or simply feel more grounded in yourself.
Between sessions, you’re invited to reflect, try out new strategies, or notice changes, though there’s no pressure to “perform” progress. Therapy works best when it feels like a collaborative process, where we set the pace and direction together.
